The 28th Ka and Broadband Communications Conference (Ka) and the 40th International Communications Satellite Systems Conference (ICSSC) and its Colloquium, the two most influential technical conferences on satellite systems, will be jointly held in Bradford (UK), from October 23 through October 26, 2023.

The 40th ICSSC Colloquium on Direct Satellite to Cellular Mobile Services, will be held on the 23rd of October 2023 at Norcroft Centre, University of Bradford. The topic of Satellite-to-Cell, or Direct-to-Mobile Service has been a rapidly evolving ecosystem and is a timely next step building upon on last year’s colloquium topic on Megaconstellations. Dr. Paul Thomson receives the AIAA Aerospace Communications Award

At the 28th Ka and 40th ICSSC Joint Conference Gala Dinner, Dr. Paul Thompson, retired senior research Fellow of the University of Surrey, will receive the 2023 AIAA ACA “For exceptional service in satellite and space systems design, engineering, and international collaboration".
The Conference Organizing Committee warmly congratulates him.

The Ka Conference Organizing Committee is glad to inform that this year the 6 best papers presented in the Ka Conference Oral Sessions will be published in the Special Issue of the International Journal of Satellite Communications and Networks, edited by Prof Barry Evans.

The Selection Committee, chaired by Prof Barry Evans, and composed by Riccardo de Gaudenzi, Naoto Kadowaki, James Nessel and Carlo Riva, will select the 6 best papers to be published in the Special Issue.
